Able Artemis is a miniatures war game for two players (with optional rules for multiplayer games). This page contains the basic rules you will need to play the game.

What You Will Need

To play Able Artemis, you will need:

  • A play space between 2ft/60cm and 3ft/90cm square, depending on game size.
  • A collection of lurrain (lunar terrain): natural features such as craters, boulder fields, and hills, and artificial features such as landing pads, solar panels, mining or scientific equipment, civilian vehicles, and habitation modules.
  • 10-12 six sided dice (D6s) for rolling. It is preferable for each player to have their own dice, but these can be shared.
  • 6-10 D6s (traditionally red) per player for tracking damage.
  • Either a set of order dice or an additional set of D6s for tracking orders.
  • A collection of tokens including:
    • Stress tokens
    • Broken tokens
    • Pinning tokens
    • Objective markers
  • A collection of Able Artemis miniatures and a force roster each.

Additionally, Able Artemis uses a series of fixed measurements ranging from S to VL range. These measurements are provided later in this document and can be measured either with a tape measure or other measuring ruler, or specifically sized measuring sticks are available for faster play.

Finally, players will need some way of tracking victory points. Pen and paper, dice, glass beads, or mechanical counters all work equally well, as long as you can keep track of numbers between 0 and 20.
